For 25 years, the story of Stone Soup has inspired the Weld Food Bank community to come together in the fight against hunger.
As the story goes, three hungry and tired soldiers arrived in a war-torn village where residents had hidden their food. The soldiers suggested making soup from stones. Intrigued, neighbors began bringing what they had to the pot, and together, they created a feast.
The story reminds us of what is possible when everyone shares their resources for a greater cause. A garden grows the same way. Every gift, every partnership and every seat at the table helps nourish our neighbors and strengthen our community.
This year, as we celebrate the 25th Annual Stone Soup, we invite you to join us for An Evening in the Garden: Planting Seeds of Hope and help us continue growing hope throughout Weld County.
