after school last year.

Kids Cafe is Weld Food Bank’s after-school program where nutritional, prepared meals and snacks are provided for undernourished children. We work with various after school programs to identify hungry kids in their program who might otherwise not get dinner. The meals are prepared in our commercial kitchen by trained kitchen staff before being safely transported to the feeding sites.

The role nutrition plays in a child’s education and overall health is critical. When a student goes to school hungry because they hadn’t eaten since the school lunch from the day before, their chance to grow and succeed is greatly reduced. Through Kids Cafe we work diligently to ensure that the students in our community have the food they need to excel at school and life.
