“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.”
-Elizabeth Andrew
Weld Food Bank understands the importance of volunteers. The men and women who give of their time to help in our warehouse, deliver food to seniors, stand out in the rain at a Mobile Food Pantry, and countless other acts of kindness do so because they have a heart for what we do. Our success is dependent upon those individuals. We invite you to consider volunteering at Weld Food Bank.
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities including weekdays, some nights and one Saturday a month. We have recently rolled out a new volunteer software to give you more control of your schedule. Follow any of the below links to our VolunteerHub software to schedule your next volunteer time. If you haven’t created an account, you will be prompted to do so. With this account you will be able to see your upcoming schedule, review your hours, and much more!
Any volunteer who previously used Volgistics to manage their schedule already has a profile. Contact Elizabeth Jorgenson for more information regarding accessing your account: [email protected].
If you need assistance signing up, please call us at 970-356-2199.

Evening Volunteering

On the fourth Saturday of every month, Weld Food Bank opens for an additional distribution. Volunteers help us pack carts and take the food to client’s cars, and sort and bag produce. There are two three-hour shifts available every Saturday distribution.
Mobile Food Pantry Volunteering
Our Mobile Food Pantry travels to sites around Weld County to distribute healthy, perishable foods such as produce, meat and dairy. Our sites are currently in a drive thru model where clients stay in their vehicles. We need volunteers at these sites to help load food into clients’ cars.
Special Events Volunteering
We hold various special events throughout the year including weekend food drives, a beer event in Windsor called Hops for Hunger, a holiday fundraiser called Beaujolais Nouveau, and more! Follow the link below to see all the opportunities to help out with any upcoming special events.
