Help During the SNAP Pause

Ways to Help

In order to meet the expected sharp increase in people visiting our programs, we have made several adjustments to our programs. These temporary changes are also an effort to keep the already long line of cars at our warehouse from getting longer. However, in order for us to rise up and meet the need, we need the volunteer help to sort the food, pack the carts, and be the hands that get the food to our neighbors.

Volunteer Opportunities

Warehouse Distribution
At our warehouse, we will remain open for food distribution through the lunch hour on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We have created a new 2-hour Lunch Distribution shift from 11:30am to 1:30pm on these days. The main task for this volunteer opportunity will be packing carts with food and taking them out to individuals’ cars waiting in our parking lot. You can sign up for those and our other Food Distribution shifts below.

Mobile Food Pantry Distributions

Within the Greeley/Evans area we have scheduled seven additional Mobile Food Pantry (MFP) distributions at three sites, two at current MFP locations and one at a temporary location. We will need 15-20 volunteers to help us unload the truck, distribute food to our neighbors, and assist those who need extra help to take their food to their vehicles.

Below is a full list of the additional November MFP distributions. Each date is directly linked to the sign up for that specific day, but please feel free to sign up for more than one. And, encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to sign up as well!

Make a Financial Donation

We understand that volunteering may not be easy for everyone. There’s still a significant way for you to help by making a financial donation. We have made significant purchases of additional foods to address the increased need. These additional food purchases are not part of our regular purchasing budget, and they are on top of the $700,000 budget shortfall we are already trying to fill as part of our Bridge the Gap campaign.

You can make a financial donation to help bridge the gap between our budget and our services and between our services and our neighbors’ needs. Your gift can make a big impact. Every dollar donated equals $6 of nutritious groceries for our neighbors!
