The common misconception is that a food bank only needs food, but this isn’t the case. Most often, we can get food for free but it takes money to transport and distribute it. Additionally, through volume purchasing, we can acquire and distribute more food than you could buy even at a club store. Every dollar you donate equals $6 of nutritious groceries for our hungry neighbors.
